Every time Starbucks open their new store, there is soft opening called f and f, which means family and friends. This is where Starbucks’s barista team who will work at new store, inviting their family and friends to celebrate their new store, and I, got the honor to come. Yeay!!
One of my barista at my fav sbux was moved to this new store, and her friends ask me to come. At first I wasn’t sure if I can come. I couldn’t say the word. Suddenly, one of them told me that she can’t come, and I should come. She told me, there will be free drinks and free foods. She convinced me that there is no reasons for me to not to come. Plus, my barista will be thrilled if I come, she won’t mad. On second thought, I wanted to come. I mean, now I know about it, I want to know what’s the party like. So, I called my barista and tell her, and voila, I got my invitation!
It was a blast!
The euphoria, the crowd, the atmosphere, it was… so good. At party like that, people usually become nicer, kinder, friendlier, and acted like they know each other so well, but this.. different. There are some genuine in all that pep talk, there are some genuine curiosity when they ask something in the middle of chat. I don’t know if it happened because they really interested, or because they really know each other. Well, almost all of them are Starbucks’s barista, so off course they know each other. Some of them are their friends, some of them are their close customers, and some of them are their families, but yeah, I can see that most of them know each other.
This event called family and friends with some reasons, and I can see that one of those reasons might be this: with all of the crowd is somebody you know or your mutual friends, it’s creating warmth loving atmosphere because you know each other. One of the thing I notice was, those Starbucks people, are really nice and positive. I don’t know if they were really hiring all positive people with positive attitude or they made them in training. Either way, I like these people. It feels like I want to put them into my pocket and calling them friends.
We arrive late because we have to wait for after office hour, so when we arrived, there is no foods left except mini cinnamon roll, but we still get free drinks, so that’s okay for me. While they are greeting their friends, I was looking around the place. Nope, I am not designer or something artistic person but I do have interest with interior design, and I can tell that the place is soo cozy and interesting.
At first, I’m not sure what to do because I don’t know anyone there except my barista but as time goes by, I become more relaxed. Besides, my barista really make sure that I don’t feel left out there. They are so nice, I can’t even..
Let’s just say that I am grateful and had really good time there. I don’t know how it happened and how it started, but I’m really glad to meet and know these people in my life.
Thank you :)
